Meet the owners, Corey & Shauna Bauhs—big thrifting fans and passionate advocates for their faith, and serving their local community.
The Upper Room started in 2023, not just as a shop, but we believe as a God-given opportunity. What began as monthly gatherings in our living room quickly outgrew our space, and in His perfect timing, the Lord opened a door—literally. We knew the Lord was calling us to "be the church outside of the church."
"Our heart has always been to serve our local community and be a part of something bigger than ourselves," says Shauna. "We believe we are called to be on mission wherever we go—whether that’s through a conversation over a cup of coffee or helping someone find a piece that makes them light up again, we try to love on our neighbors as best as possible."
In the Upper Room, giving back is woven into everything we do. 20% of our profits go directly toward faith-driven mission work, both locally and globally—because we believe every thrifted treasure should and can create real impact. We are also have partnered with organizations who directly clothe our neighbors in need. With your help the Upper Room has been able to donate 750+ pounds of clothing since opening in 2023.

Such treasure to be found here. You will love the atmosphere, full of art and love. It's clear the owners love what they do and the people they serve. I met the owner, Shauna on a walk and she invited us in. It turned into a magical playhouse of dress up and play. I had my eye on this coat and walked out with a few bags of fabulous clothes and memories. But the most important thing is that I felt loved and known by the owners and memories for a lifetime. My wish would be everyone could visit this store and every business could be run like this. If you read and take away anything from this review, let it be this, the owners asked to pray for me and my family and we sat in a circle and prayed. This is what this store is about.

I LOVE this store and Shauna! I did a personal shopping experience with Shauna for an outfit to wear to me sister’s wedding. I’ve never had something like this with 2nd hand clothing. And now I know this is the only place to do it with! Shauna’s process was easy and it was so fun trying things on in her shop. She went shopping especially for me and what I was looking for and she was spot on for what I liked and was looking for.
