The Upper Room Story
From a small flickering flame to a growing community hub, The Upper Room's journey is one of mission-driven passion and unexpected grace (upon grace). Fueled by a shared desire to foster connection, community, and service beyond the traditional walls of the church, Corey and Shauna Bauhs sought to establish a unique space for belonging.
We simply wanted a place where we could be all of ourselves. This vision, carefully nurtured over the years, feels like it took a lifetime to dream up and happened all at once, in the welcoming embrace of Cambridge, Wisconsin. Now, here we are, pinching ourselves regularly, astounded by the goodness of our God.
Today, The Upper Room stands as a testament to the power of intentional community building. Our curated collection of vintage clothing, accessories, and vinyl records are opportunities for real connection. Each piece invites conversations, sparks a memory, and fosters a sense of shared history. It truly has been a beautiful experience to witness.
Beyond the tangibility of shopping, we share in true connection with kindness and a heart of service. We sip coffee together, offer styling advice with genuine care, host events that celebrate locals, and support causes that are near and dear to our hearts.
Our mission isn't merely to curate vintage finds, but to weave community building into all that we do, The Upper Room is for individuals of all backgrounds who are seeking solace, connection, and perhaps, a renewed sense of hope and faith.
We invite you to step into something new, explore the whispers of the past, and discover the true joy of belonging to this community that God is building.
We take pride in offering our valued customers creative collections for each season. Try us on for size yourself and understand why so many have made The Upper Room their favorite place to thrift.
